How can I get rid of the google search bar and instead show the url I'm going too. So I can see if I have a https connection or not.
I'm running 32.0.3 firefox but now don't see my URL address anymore that I went too. I like to see if it's a secure link or not and sometimes I might want to cut and paste the URL into a message etc. All I have now is a google search bar or can choose from aol or other search engines. Thanks for any help. I have been a Firefox user from about day one but if I can't fix this I might have to bite the bullet and switch to something else, which I don't want to do.

Make sure that all toolbars are visible.
- View > Toolbars
Open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
- "3-bar" Firefox menu button > Customize
- if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
- if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the Restore Defaults button to restore the default toolbar setup
Thanks for the suggestions.....I tried a few without success...so I did a Safe Start and did a Reset....now all looks normal...
