Thanks. Pc clean (norton + antimalwarebytes + antirootkit + adwcleaner + emsisoft + superantispyware + zhpdiag + tskiller + cce comodo + killbits). No popup, no changes in the search engine, home page ok, webpages do load well, toolbar none. I guess that the crash is not caused by malware.

the site is red highlighted by wot.

thanks I found winphook.dll: "hp monitor".

at the moment the hang is https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/9309e593-1a44-404a-a157-a694f2150214 that is monitored by bugzilla. bugzilla is asking about debugging https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=789379 Since I am not the one and only with this issue, I warmly hope that someone in the world may want to try the debugged. without debugger bugzilla is unable to understand the issue.

An interesting question:

why with ALL those videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC41spKyWc_uabC-3E5dLWEA/videos and https://www.youtube.com/user/vasiloukos/videos I do NOT have problems with protected mode active??? I can stop, forward, backward, full screen, small screen without hangs!!

what (more or less than others) kind of properties have those videos ?? if we understand this, we find the solution, because I NEVER had and never have issues with those videos! I hope that you find very interesting my statement.

PS: another statement: in the past zero issues with flash hangs but a lot of minidumps (at FF shutdown after using flash), now zero minidumps but a lot of flash hangs. odd coincidence?

PS2: does flash player prefer videos with greek language for working well? :) ;)

Check for updates for the driver.

no, sorry, I already wrote to nvidia with this crash log. they say that I have to write to mozilla. so who is right? mozilla "its due to nvidia" or nvidia "its due to firefox"

because the user becomes very confused hmmmm and why this crash arised with ff36?

as you can see in the link more than 500 crash/1week and you can see that the gpu is intel, amd....

The latest crash doesn't seem to be Flash-related. Is this is a new crash issue? Could you post more of your most recent crash reports?

For general help with crashes, see Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly).

Like I asked before:

Did you ever try disabling Hardware Acceleration in Flash settings? See Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again under "Disable Hardware Acceleration in Flash" ... which links to: https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues

P.S. It might help if you could send us some non-personal Firefox and system information. Please do the following:

  1. Use ONE of these methods to open the Firefox Troubleshooting Information page:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click on help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information.
    • Type about:support into the Firefox address bar and press the enter key.
  2. At the top of the Troubleshooting Information page that comes up, you should see a button that says "Copy text to clipboard". Click it.
  3. Now, go back to your forum post, right-click in the reply box and select Paste from the context menu (or else click inside the reply box and press the Ctrl+V keys) to paste all the information you copied into the forum post.

If you need further information about the Troubleshooting information page, please read the article Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues.

I warmly thank you, much appreciated!

yes, it is a new crash issue arised with ff36, i.e. never had before ff36. I can say that before the crash in my profile appeared a new file .GZ (winrar) referring to Memory usage. Now I deleted this file :( so please wait until the file comes back in my profile (this already happened; now I will save this important file!!). this happens only with a long usage of ff without closing it.

Be sure that I will add more infos here (not soon) with the GZ file and I waiting for other replies from nvidia (I am talking with the developers: second stage of support, in the previous post there was first stage of support team).

In the meantime here the infos you requested: ops 11226 is too big for this post, only 10000 allowed....

If you can't paste the entire content of the Troubleshooting Information about:support page, break it up into two or more posts.

If none of the new crashes are related to the Flash plugin then it looks like that issue is "solved". Is that so?

You should ask a new question about the new Firefox 36 crashes, along with the most recent crash Report IDs and current troubleshooting information. See Mozilla Support rules and guidelines under Posting support requests: Create one thread and only one thread for each subject you need help with.

moment please. wait before to establish that flash plugin issue is resolved (I dont see the "resolved fixed" in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=789379 so please wait, even if today and yesterday I dont had this flash hang, but since I have this issue since november 2012, I suggest to wait a while before say that flash hang is resolved.

this crash is not related to flash, should I rewrite this post in a other location?

ok, I move here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1050362

(leaving open this topic about flash hang). thanks.

at the moment I do not experience flash hangs, definitively NOT dued to History or cookie and their deleting process at ff shutdown nor dued to ff and flash acceleration (always active), and NOT dued to protected mode (ON)! otherwise I should experience hangs now too. good news, even if my most frequent hang https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=789379 is not "resolved fixed".

at the moment all is ok (with all my usual settings), but the origins of flash hang remain misterious. tomorrow a major release of flash: flash 17!!

Alice even for flash issues (not only for hangatshutdown) I installed 347.52 suggested by nvidia. we will see what happens ;)

after selecting video in full screen mode here http://www.la7.it/otto-e-mezzo/rivedila7/otto-e-mezzo-11-03-2015-149542 FF hang.

A bit embarrassing, because in the last months I noticed that I spend more time in troubleshooting than in browsing.

This happens after a lot hours FF is running. After a few hours this doesnt happen. But I use to leave FF open from morning until night.

npswf32_16_0_0_305.dll@0x357add but then is written not a plugin hang

The Mozilla Support article is Flash videos won't play full screen. Try disabling hardware acceleration in Flash settings.

The related Adobe article is https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues

Firefox 36.0.1 Crash Report [@ npswf32_16_0_0_305.dll@0x357add ] is the signature for Report ID bp-fdf2d6c9-a8ac-4f61-a82c-ad8242150312 but there are no related bugs listed. You may want to consider filing a bug yourself, using one of the "Report this bug" links in the "Related bugs" section of the crash report.

I am able to view YT in full screen. Why do you think that I have problems with video drivers? I can playback videos, even 3 hours video in full screen mode, without issues.

The crash above occurs when I click on a link, or when I select another FF tab, or today after installing flash 17 (flash install checker opens itself automatically after performing a flash install not offline > hang), but I can watch a lot of Yt videos, even full screen, even 3 hours, without any issue. With acceleration enabled. Hang not crash sometimes only clicking a link in YT or switching between the tabs. But Zero issues watching flash videos.

yes if you want I can send dxdiag (where?).

I followed your link above and I watched https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ou6_MkIvKOo?wmode=direct&hd=1 1080p, full screen, FF + flash acceleration enabled, + other 10 tabs opened, CPU 9-15%. very smooth playback, all is perfect!!!

so...the problems is FF and his relationship with flash, not my driver 347.52 nor my video card.

But I can watch flash at 4K too, without issues! then the issue may arise simply selecting another tab in FF > hang.

Now I have flash 17, but I doubt that this will resolve the hangs (sometimes flash hang inthe report even without watching videos! on the other side I can watch a lot YT videos without issues)

today no issues with http://www.la7.it/otto-e-mezzo/rivedila7/otto-e-mezzo-11-03-2015-149542

misterious. therefore unresolvable. binaries = exotericism ;)

I just came across this thread in the mozilla.support.firefox newsgroup and thought you might want to read through it so see if anything is helpful: FF Locks up with Flash (The problem in this case was a conflict with Malwarebytes Anti-EXPLOIT software and the solution was to disable the software)
