I only have the problem in Firefox, not IE or Chrome. Go to a site, I get FVDDownloader showing up on all the products in Costco.com. I have tried all the software removal tools and it shows me the problem is in firefox. In addition I keep getting Best-buy trying to upload my searches. In all the cases I have to most current anit-virus and adware and anti malware. I see lots of people having this issue and no answers

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

If the extension is not working, and no update is available, you might not have any choice but to disable it. You can do that on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then you should be able to find Flash Video Downloader on the right side.
