I'm using 40.0.2 on OSX, when I open a URL from another program (Mail, IRC, etc.) firefox opens two windows, one with the URL and a another with the default start page. This happens when firefox is either not running or running with no windows open. If there is already an open window the problem doesn't occur and it opens in a new tab as normal. Just wondering what could be causing this? It doesn't happen on my Windows machine.
