About a third of a page of computer code, computer language, etc, precedes email messages I receive when I go to either forward or print out an email message. This annoyance was never there until I turned the computer back on after shutting it off during a thunder storm.

Sounds like you have full headers displaying. Suggest you try this: View > Headers > Normal
