I am trying to install a government program for emitting sales tax bills. This program is made in java, and to download of this program the link checks if our PC has Java installed. When trying to download this program, I get a message that does not have java installed. However, I have Java installed by OpenSuse 13.2 32bits KDE installation DVD. And Firefox has a IcedTea plugin And i can run either kinds of java files, except the government program, that is in link bellow (please, see the word "Download")

http://www.emissornfe.fazenda.sp.gov.br/index.htm

I know, that is a portuguese page, but just look and click on word "download " and "Download - Para versão 3.1"

When I click in that link, I don't bring any file for download. Just appears a page saying "You don't have the Java installed"

But I have an other PC with Java Version 7 and the Firefox has the Plugin "Java(TM)" This PC don't has problems with the our site government e just do downloads perfectly I believe plugin "Java(TM) is the solution to firth PC above

I believe plugin "Java(TM) is the solution to first PC above, how can I do to install "Java(TM)" to him?

Thank you in advance

Mmm, i'm not sure if you have to uninstall the IcedTea browser plug-in, to make Java plugin to work.

Please wait another contributor, more familiar with linux to help you.

We can remove and reinstall the IcedTea browser plug-in with very easily.

But how I do to install the Java(TM) plug-in? I have an other PC com OpenSuse 13.1 and it has that plug-in instaled. This is a proof that instalation is possible.

Another side, all instalations of java ins windows plataform have this plug-in (java(TM) instaled.

You need to create a symlink to the Java libnpjp2.so plugin in a location where Firefox scans for plugins like the ~/.mozilla/plugins directory.

Please, anybody could say, where is the Firefox plugins directory ? I am using OpenSuse 13.2 and Firefox 41

Thanks in advance

There is no real Firefox plugin directory.

Firefox will look in a few locations and there might also be environment variables that specify a location.

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page and use that to see where other plugins are located

This is the only information in "about:config"

plugin.state.java;2 This don't shows directories

I done the java plugin directory in that location "/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins" location.

But now, a new problem: The system don't find nor run the file "javaws"

When I run in comand line i get this message "bad instalation: JAVAWS_HOME not set"

What can i do to solve it?
