Whenever I try to save a .Jpeg or other like file say .Gif or pictures, they always go to downloads. When I try to place them in the appropriate file containing like files on my computer, they are NEVER there, even if I move or try to save them again from the downloads that Firefox has placed them in. Please, I do not like this set up, and prefer to always Choose to be Asked where I want my files Saved To. Thank you.

Hi

If you right click on the image you wish to save, you can select Save Image As... which will allow you to select the save location for that content.

With regards tot he default save location

  • If you type about:preferences in the address bar
  • Go to the General tab
  • Under Downloads, select Always ask me where to save files

This should prompt you every time you download a file to select a location for those files.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.
