Something updated recently and now there isn't even an option for videos to play in fullscreen regardless of the site we're on. We've tried going into permissions manager to allow fullscreen again, but there isn't a choice for it there either. How do we play videos in fullscreen?

It should still work, in order to troubleshoot this further I might suggest a refresh or a new profile:

The Full Screen mode permission is no longer present in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions" in Fx 42+, so you won't find it there.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: 3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
