Cannot send e-mail: "Error writing temporary file."
Tried to send an e-mail. First of all it refused to include the various pictures (such as my corporate logo) that are in the signature (that is added to any mail I write automatically from a file). This never happened before. Then it refused to send the mail at all, and in fact any mail, with the following message: "Error writing temporary file."
I removed my signature and nevertheless the app refuses to send the mail, once more because of "Error writing temporary file."
No idea what this is all about. Did an internet search but found no answers pertaining to my situation.
I am using Thunderbird (for 400 years now) 38.4.0 on Kubuntu 14.04.
Hope anybody there can help me.
Thanks!
Best, Gijsbert the Netherlands
P.s. apologies for my English

When you click send, Thunderbird assembles the mail in a file nsmail.html in the temp folder. This file has only a very short existence, but I am guessing it is where your issue is coming from.
Check the temp environment variable is valid and points to a location you have full read write allocate access to.
