when browsing, I get about a 5 second lag spike every 20-30 seconds
No matter what sites i am browsing, every 20 to 30 seconds I get round a 5 second lag spike where I can do nothing. I've had this problem for a little while but ignore it. 1 week ago I did a complete format on my computer and I am still having this same issue.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?

Was there something I was suppose to do after opening FireFox in safe mode? I did open my browser in safe mode and it did seem to help a little at first then slowly got worse.
The lag I get while browsing affects videos, scrolling, browsing, and typing. I do not get these issues when doing stuff outside of browsing.
Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
