How to get my Firefox favorites/bookmarks to be saved to my idrive account?
Using Windows 7 & Internet Explorer. Using idrive service for my backup. Hard drive was having problems and I switched to Firefox which ran perfectly. Unfortunately I was unaware I needed to tell idrive to backup my Firefox favorites. so when computer crashed all Firefox favorites was lost. After repairs to system and contacting idrive they tell me I need to find the file or folder that Firefox uses for favorites and tell idrive what the name is in order to place it in idrive back up list. Am lost from here and would appreciate any help. Thank you.

i cannot tell you the exact folder path, since that varies on each system as parts of its name are randomly generated. if you already see the files in question on your harddrive, then looking at the address bar of windows explorer should tell you the exact folder patch

hi rj2261, in this case it is best to back-up your whole firefox profile folder: Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data
This helps to get me to profiles but I have no idea what files/folders I need to give idrive or exactly how to do that. Idrive indicates they do not know what file or folder specifically either. You have helped to get me going in the right direction but I am not the most computer tech savy so I need a little more direction.
Thanks
i'd recommend to backup the whole folder - bookmarks specifically would be stored in the file places.sqlite.
I'm getting closer....but where do I find the name of the entire folder. Following your lead I find the files but I don't know which or where the name of the entire folder is found so that when I contact Idrive I can give them the right name and be sure they will back everything up. Sorry to be a pain but I appreciate your help.

Thank you very much!! I opened the folder in firefox and I see a folder name on the search bar which I believe is the folder name. I will send this to idrive and I think this will solve my problem. Thanks again.
