Hello! I'm using Firefox on Linux Mint. This started a day ago. Last update was even few days earlier. I tried to click on the scroll bar and the browser crashed, since then every click on an empty space of the web page causes crash. So if I click on buttons, links, etc. it is OK. Very strange. I didn't find a bug like this on Google.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

No, in the safe mode there's no crashes.

Here are reports: bp-6b9bf71c-92b0-4dd6-a471-557792160929 09/29/2016 10:31 AM bp-fea4ec43-fb49-403f-8298-9c7d92160928 09/28/2016 05:08 PM bp-dfa2bc10-5ad6-4d48-a92d-5483d2160928 09/28/2016 04:26 PM bp-12b89068-4921-43c7-8cce-f043f2160928 09/28/2016 04:18 PM bp-b8a2126b-9334-4a32-b23b-cc4432160928 09/28/2016 04:15 PM bp-e6b0d3eb-a1b2-4753-9a22-93b842160928 09/28/2016 11:32 AM bp-75cba3c5-5c36-4ee1-a24a-c152e2160928 09/28/2016 11:32 AM bp-29ac54fc-8933-40d6-bcea-b63032160928 09/28/2016 11:31 AM bp-d100014c-a20e-4907-aab7-bab772160928 09/28/2016 11:13 AM bp-133ac3b1-e44c-4efa-bd18-f73c62160928 09/28/2016 11:10 AM

UPDATE: So I turned off all the extensions manually and left only Select Like A Boss. Crashes when clicked on empty space ceased. It is very useful addon, but if Firefox itself had on option for selecting text of link, it would be great.

UPD UPD: Other strange thing: if I click "Insert a link..." here, in editing my message in safe mode, it crashes too.

Here are two reports on this kind of crashes: bp-bc53d343-0911-4f1e-beb6-f31582160929 09/29/2016 11:19 AM bp-bdcda9a3-7e3e-4a1c-b837-231922160929 09/29/2016 11:19 AM
