I have a program that sends emails to thunderbird to send out. Thunderbird used to ask if it was ok the first time. After an upgrade, it no longer sends them and I cannot find a setting to allow it. Is that possible to do in the latest version?

This seems to be a MAPI problem with TB 52 and W7; see bug 1356902. Some users have managed to fix it by installing the VC2015 runtime libraries.

There's a related MAPI fix mentioned here.
