How do I delete a email address of a former employee?
My former employee had a company email address and now that this person is no longer employed by me I want to erase her email address.
Chosen solution
What kind of details do you need? I've tried everything I can think of for months, click on the delete icon in the heading with a left click and a right click, etc.
Perhaps it will work on your computer and not on mine. Mine is an imac 21.5 inch Late 2012 macOS Sierra Version 10.12.5 Processor 2.7GHz intel core i5 Graphics NVDIA GeForce GT640M 512MB
What else can I say that might be of help?

How exactly is that related to Thunderbird?
How do you think it is related?
Delete it from where? Address book? An account that was added to Thunderbird? Cancel email service with the provider? Please explain what you are trying to do.
airmail---it was an account added to T-Bird and I would like to delete it so it cannot be used in any way shape or form.
To remove the account details from Thunderbird you right click the account on the left side in the folder pane and select Settings. At the very bottom of the account listing on the left side of Account Settings page Is Account Actions. Make sure you have the correct account selected and click Remove Account.
This only removes the details from Thunderbird. To eliminate the email address you have to work with the email provider.
krazy kernel - Thunderbird address book delete won't work
To delete a contact... select the contact and press Delete on your keyboard.
I am not going to try and guess what is not working so provide some details.

Sorry. There are a number of addresses and a varying number of duplicates to each. I have tried to delete various of the copies of each address for most addressees to no avail. For example: ben howard benhoward683@TWC.com. Ben Howard benhoward683@TWC.com. Ben Howard, M.D. benhoward683@TWC.com.
You could state what you are trying to do. Originally you wanted to remove detail for a former employee. Now in you say Thunderbird address book will not delete.
What are you doing?
I regret that I am apparently unable to comply with your request, so I shall give up for now. Thank you for your effort. krazy kernel
