i am using the latest Firefox as of the creation of this question on windows 10 pro and i have the asus strix raid pro 7.1 sound card installed on my pc and hooked to a 5.1 sound system, now the main issue is with up mixing the audio to 5.1 as it seems to work fine on youtube or any other site until i click on the seek bar ( the bar in the video below to advance/rewind the video ), because when i do that the audio changes to stereo and doesn't go back to 5.1 until i close firefox and re-open it again.

i tried the same on Microsoft Edge and it works fine and i didn't face the same issue.

Well since running a beta, to be expected and no idea.

You could try : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: this should be Pinned and run weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gigs) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.2 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

If is a issue after have installed as per above suggest : If you have a bug, file a bug report. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ Bug Writing Guidelines : https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines

Do go to the ASUS Homepage for your System and download any Updates (and Keep) that they may have in Support/Downloads.

I have a ASUS Maximus VI Extreme is coming on 4yrs and nothing left to download.

Also , Suggest checking Device Manager (yes is still there) to make sure Win 10 has not changed any drivers as Windows can and will change your Hardware Drivers to theirs.

They did this to me 5mins after updating my Realtech Drivers. https://www.howtogeek.com/302595/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-automatically-updating-hardware-drivers/

i already had installed the latest drivers since before the update the upmix feature would not work at all on any browser so i am sure now that i'm running the latest firmware and driver and i explicitly updated both

"the upmix feature would not work at all on any browser"

Suggest you go to Asus Forums then and if it is a Asus ROG then go to that forum.
