OS : Windows 7 AV : Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition

Tried the following as found in Mozilla support pages: 1. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER

2. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can

In my Bitdefender there is no option for "Web Protection" or "Toggle off the Scan SSL setting". Is there some thing I've missed to try? If the real problem is with the certificates how other browsers do not throw such an error?
