Hi,

Is it possible to disable "video" decoding but enable only "audio" for HTML5 media content? Here are some use cases -- (1) YouTube audio play back only. Entire content is streamed but only audio is decoded for playback saving battery. Might be useful esp on mobile devices (ii) Would like to listen to audio only TED at their web site.

Thanks, Moe

For a beta version that changes next week, will say no. Go to the release channel and get 57.0.3 current stable version.

I appreciate the response but this question is a generic one. It just happened that I submitted this question from FirefoxNightly.
