In Firefox 63, when the Most Recently Used tab switching is selected, and when using it by Ctrl-Tab, there is an overlay and I need to press Enter to apply.

Is it possible to remove the preview? (There no such thing like browser.ctrlTab.previews in about:config) Or why I need to press Enter?

One click to close any overlay popup on any website. Use keyboard shortcut Cmd+Shift+X (Mac OS X) or Ctrl+Shift+X (Windows / Linux).

That is how this feature works. You would that to disable MRU and remove the checkmark on "Ctrl+Tab cycles through tabs in recently used order" to hide this pop-up.

  • browser.ctrlTab.recentlyUsedOrder = false
