With the last automatic upgrade of Thunderbird the Afrikaans Spell-checker disappeared. When I wanted to re-install it as an add-on, Thunderbird tell me it cannot be done because it is not compatible with the new version. This is a real pity, so I would appreciate it if one of you clever people out there could resolve this?

down load the XPI file open it as a ZIP file (rename it from XPI extension to ZIP.

OPen the file install.rdf in a text editor and change

< em:minVersion>0.1</em:minVersion>
to
< em:minVersion>6</em:minVersion>

and < em:maxVersion>4.0b3pre</em:maxVersion> to < em:maxVersion>60.*</em:maxVersion>

Save the modified file into the zip and rename back to an XPI and install in Thunderbird as normal
