It did not help at all. First of all I can't actually change the pop up to like "do this for files like this in the future". It doesn't come with a drop down menu like that (check image). Also changing in the settings of firefox what the browser will do with certain files didn't change anything :/.

Sometimes sites send a generic description that Firefox can't associate to a single file extension, so Firefox needs to ask you every time.

What is the file extension of the problem downloads? For example, .pdf, .zip, .doc. I created an add-on to assign a more relevant content-type as a workaround for this problem, but it requires a file extension on the download:
