Windows 10 crash, can't find Thunderbird folder in windows.old roaming folder, only in local folder. Tried to copy over, but doesn't recover previous profiles.

I've followed instructions for similar issues, but there's no Thunderbird folder in the windows.old/<user>/appdata/roaming, only in the windows.old/<user>/appdata/local folder. I've copied that across C:/<user>/appdata/roaming, but it doesn't pull in the old data, nor if I copy the folder to the local folder. Any assistance gratefully received,

When 'there's no Thunderbird folder in the windows.old/<user>/appdata/roaming', you copied what across?

What old data? Please be specific and provide the entire path.

nor if I copy the folder to the local folder.

You copy what folder? To which 'local folder' exactly?

What happens when you start Thunderbird?
