As of recently, particularly since the last couple Firefox updates, Firefox will freeze and my computer completely locks up. Up to now I've had no problems at all, even with hardware acceleration enabled. I need to re-boot my computer to clear it. It happens intermittently on any web page during any and all activity. I've tried disabling hardware acceleration to no avail. It does not happen with any other app on my machine. Event Viewer in Windows 10 does not show the problem. Firefox troubleshooting shows nothing I can see. Please advise. Thank you.

So when and where does this happen? Does the computer freeze itself on the Desktop if firefox isn't running? And what addons are installed?

"It happens intermittently on any web page during any and all activity." and ONLY with Firefox running.

Add-ons, plug-ins, extensions, themes, Legacy extension: OpenH264 Video Codec automatically installed by Mozilla. Widevine Content Decryption Module installed by Google Shockwave Flash 32.0 r0 Honey Coupon Code Manager Search By Image Dark theme by Mozilla Google Image Search

None of these add-ons have caused a problem in the past as they have been there for years.

My rig runs clean and problem free with all Windows Updates and drivers up to date. All the hardware is working correctly. I do not use any other browser or o.s. on this system.

Advice "never think" problem can't be caused by Addons as they are updated on regular basis what you downloaded isn't the same program revision as of now.

I would disable all addons to verify nothing is causing and if still problem run firefox in safe mode. This will verify if firefox is working or not correctly.
