How can I change Firefox to open on my home page: The New tab is a terrible design.

more options

The "new tab" home opening is useless for me. I simple want to set my old homepage as the opening page URL. But his also has been disabled. So all of the Add-Ons are disabled from the opening new tab.

Please provide a direct edit of firefox to provide this simple fix.

Is that old Home page a local page or a page on internet?

cor-el covered the "new tab page" angle. But just in case:

Do you mean the home page that should appear in the first tab at startup and in a new window? That can be set on the Options page, on the Home panel. See: How to set the home page.

Does that part of the page indicate that an extension is managing your home page, or that an administrator is preventing it?

Or is there a problem of a blank page opening at startup instead of your custom home page(s)?
