Hello,

This probably is a long shot but is an interesting one.

We would like to setup email collaboration with Thunderbird, this is in an office environment

Ideally, we would have a master Thunderbird installed on a separate machine, then on colleagues computers the email should be replicated, so support personnel could see which emails have been addressed already and action the one unread.

We have used this via outlook for several years, unfortunately the tool installed for outlook stopped working and the company providing us support does not deal any longer with that.

Is there something similar we could do with Thunderbird? if Thunderbird could be only the backend only and keep outlook would be great, if not no we will be happy to have a robust solution in place.

create an imap email address and configure it in each copy of Thunderbird.

Forward shared mail to that imap account, or just share this support email address as an imap account to have it synchronized to each machine.
