I get the following message when trying to send email.

An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: * OK IMAP4 server (InterMail vM.9.01.00.037.1 201-2473-137-122-172) ready Wed, 15 Jul 2020 22:24:58 +0000 (UTC).

Servers setting are correct per Time Warner Cable. I can receive email fine but cannot sent. I restarted with add ons disabled. Also reinstalled Thunderbird. Everything was working before but due to other problems the HD was reformatted and windows reloaded, plus Thunderbird.

What are your settings? According to their website, you should have mail.twc.com on port 587, connection security = none, authentication = password, transmitted insecurely, User Name = email address.

That did not work. Here are TWC's local setting for my account. I verified with their support. Their webpage does list 2 servers but the problem still exists with port 587 and they did say to use 993. Also when I changed to no security I get a connection timed out message and could not receive any emails either.
