Thanks for your kind and prompt reply, but I'm still confused. I don't want to see the sync page at all. I simply want to click on the Firefox icon on my dock, see the search box, and fill it in with what I want to find. How can I arrange that? Once I get this straightened out, I will be happy to use some of Firefox's extensions.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not 100% sure if this is what you're asking, but it sounds like you want to change the default startup page. To do this, try the steps outlined in How to set the home page.

Hope that helped!
