Chosen solution

Install Older Version Of Firefox {web link} Be sure to read everything here.

If you still want to downgrade, look under; I still want to downgrade. Click the Directory of other versions and languages link. Look for the directory of the version that you want. But, remember that old versions may have security issues.

You should also check out Firefox; Extended Support Release {web link} ESR Notes System Requirements

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

Type about:profiles<enter> in the address bar. How many profiles are listed? How many should be there? Also, open the profile folder in your file explorer.

So, looking through the Old Firefox folder I found the Bookmarks backups- when I try to restore these by manually selecting through the library restore option ( or by selecting any of the restore backups from the initial drop down after clicking restore) I get a Unable to process back up window. Not sure what to do....

This is the window I get

jscher2000 has a tool on his website to extract out your bookmarks and save them to an HTML-format bookmark export file. If you want to try it, here is the page:

https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/bookbackreader.html

To open the bookmarkbackups folder in Finder, use the "Open in Finder" button in the first table on the Troubleshooting Information page, and double-click into bookmarkbackups where you should see several dated files. From there you can drag and drop onto the conversion tool.

To import the HTML file, see the steps in this article: Import Bookmarks from an HTML file.

Hi, None of this has worked!! Any chance of a remote access??

more options

Explain what you did. Results. Error messages.

Went to library- show all bookmarks- restore- choose file- Old Firefox data ( from desktop) - bookmark backups- folder named "a5lml5te.default"- selected file named "bookmarks-2017-09-26_185_y7o8zBSeU3ugTZf6kbJF-Q==.jsonlz4" Was then given an error message ( same as message whenever I select any of the back ups from restore menu too) Error message reads- Unable to process the back up file

I just want everything back as it was before the update! Cannot bookmark anything right now to even start again!

more options

Try using a different file. Then another.

tried with all files- same error message for each. Any chance of a remote access please?
