Stuck in landscape after playing video (Firefox Android)

more options

Hi,

I have an issue where Firefox automatically goes in to landscape mode when you play a video but then gets stuck there. The issue resolves itself if I leave the phone overnight or restart it, however this is far from ideal.

I have searched the support forum to no avail and also tried to use about:config however don't seem to be able to access it, which I understand to be a 'feature' of the current firefox build.

Ideally I'd like to completely stop firefox from forcing the browser in to landscape mode, however a way to return to portrait afterwards would also help a lot.

Phone - Huawei P9 Lite OS and browser are on auto update so will be the most recent version.

Many thanks, Alastair.

Hi Alastair

Do you have an example of a website where this is happening?

Thanks for the reply,

It happens on you tube. Any time I watch a video to the end.
