Since it seems I can't change hotkeys in Firefox, I thought I'd turn off the developer tools. But now when I press F12 it opens up a tab asking if I want to enable developer tools.

How do I stop that from happening? I have other uses for F12 than the developer tools I don't use.

You need to set devtools.policy.disabled = true or possibly use a policy to disable the developertools and free up F12.
