Whenever I boot Firefox (93.0 64-bit on Windows 10) it brings up a Gmail tab (my home page of preference) and an active tab labelled "Server not found" at https://www.m.home/?version=22.001.29.02.302

Where does the second tab come in and how do I avoid this extra tab?

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window
