When typing in a post, comment, or anywhere in Facebook and YouTube, FireFox scrolls to the top of page. This is really annoying and makes the websites unusable. It just started with the latest update (99.0).

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

The problem still exists in Troubleshoot mode.

Also, these sites work just fine in other browsers, including Chrome and even (gasp) Edge. The add-ins I have are for Zoom and one of the malware systems.

I have been using these sites for years with Firefox and for about a year on this laptop without issue. Once Firefox 99.0 auto-installed, the problem showed up.

I once had a similar issue. I discovered that a form filler add-on was causing the issue. I don't know if your problem may be the form filler built into Firefox.

Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox {web link}

Remove a single website from your history {web link}

Open the History Manager <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any site settings And Passwords.

I have one add on for password security. Disabling it makes no difference. Clearing history makes no difference. Removing the website from history makes no difference. I disabled all built-in Firefox Autofills and that did not help or change the behaviour. This is looking increasingly like a bug in Firefox based on new features being exploited by Facebook and YouTube.

Still waiting for Firefox to admit there is a defect in 99.0. Don't make me start the CVE process.
