Why does attempt at loading a UK Government web page (https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/) produce a "Secure connectionn failed - Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR" message?

I managed to load the same web page by using Chrome.

Try testing in Windows Sandbox (VM) to see if you have the same issue. https://www.howtogeek.com/399290/how-to-use-windows-10s-new-sandbox-to-safely-test-apps/

You can check the connection settings and check for possible issues with a Proxy or VPN service.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a Proxy to connect to internet, select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
