Thunderbird for android - account icons have only two characters of email domain (provider)

more options

I've installed the new Thunderbird for android (been using K9 for a long time). With both of them now, the initials in the email account icons are simply indicative of the email provider eg BT, GM etc making different accounts from the same provider indistinguishable. How do I change the icon initials/change then to a graphic.

This is much requested at https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/issues/8381. Not yet possible to do, but expected to have development priority.
