I have tried uninstalling using "Secure uninstaller", run "PC health checks", removing Firefox from my firewall. Ensuring I only have one firewall running. Scanning for malicious software. Scanning for viruses, twice weekly or more. I have tried 5 or 6 times to get Firefox back but to no avail. Prior to July all was ok. Then I was alerted to an updated version, I downloaded and it hasn't worked since. I have checked I am using the authorised site.

Did you check your security software (firewall)?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

Yes, I have tried this a number of times, but still the same message: "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at en-gb.start3.mozilla.com" Thank you, but it hasn't worked.
