My default seach engine is Google yet whenever I type anything into the address bar it goes to Bing. I have already removed Bing using Manage search Engines and have only Google set.

I have set Google as my default search engine and removed ALL others for search yet when I type anything in the address bar it searches with Bing. How can I get the address bar to search with Google exclusively? Thanks & regards, Dave

The following will set location bar search back to the default Google browse by name search.

  1. Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
  2. Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
  3. Locate the preference keyword.URL, right-click on it and choose Reset

I've tried this, however, my reset button is grayed out and my default browser is set to AOL. Any advice?
