Is there any way to prevent bookmarks from being destroyed without asking Firefox user first. Or is there any way to prevent updates or upgrades without automatically archiving or exporting the existing bookmarks.

In other words, I don't want to loose bookmarks without personally deleting them.

Possibly there is a method for automatically exporting the bookmarks to another file on a regular basis.

Firefox should not delete bookmarks by itself. By default it automatically creates 5 backup copies of the bookmarks. You can manually backup bookmarks as well if you choose. For details see Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer.
