Tried to update to 3.6.13, now can't access browser, since 'can't find Proxy server"

I kept getting reminders to update to Firefox v 3.6.13, so last night I said OK, and attempted to update. Now I can't access my browser at all. I get a message that says something like ; Can't find Proxy Server' . Yahoo Messenger, however, works just fine.

In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".
You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"
