Chosen solution

If you want to make sure to have your bookmarks in FF4. You can always backup your bookmarks on your PC and import it into FF4 later:

Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Export as HTML

and save it anywhere in your PC.

Firefox 4.0 should use the existing Profile, where your personal data and customizations are stored, when you install Firefox 4.0.

Thanks the-edmiester, so your saying to not do anything, other than install Firefox 4...? I have a few hundred bookmarks (and bookmark folders) and I am terrified of losing any.

So I don't need to convert them to "json" files first? I just install FF4?
