right beside my back and forward arrow used to be the arrow down that allowed stepping to previously viewed webpages..

helped a ton when i hit one of them "we are scanning your computer for errors" web pages...now I cannot find it or figure out how to get it on my browser window

the history button does not list the websites that I was on in chronological order..and will not let me step one screen back.

Right now the history says the last page I was on was the google maps website..seems to have ignored the fact that I am at least two screens deep on the firefox website..but instead does a whole day or series of web sites.

Right clicking on the arrow(s) should produce what you want. You can also hold a left click down for a couple of seconds. If you want the drop marker back, there is a new extension -
