I upgraded to Version 5.0 and discovered that all my Google Bookmarks had gone - so I had to reinstall version 3.60... what is THAT all about???!

I have been using Google Toolbar perfectly harmoniously with Firefox for several years. I have a vast amount of priceless information in that toolbar's bookmark section. Then, as soon as I upgraded to Version 5.0 I discovered that it wasn't compatible with Google Toolbar and I had no access to my most valuable resources i.e. the countless (paid) membership sites and logins that have been added over the years to my Google Bookmarks.

I had absolutely no choice but to forget about Firefox 5.0 and go and reinstall a much older version i.e. 3.60!

This is a totally insane situation!!! You should have total compatibility with the Google Toolbar at all times!!! It is the love-blood for a guy like me - and seo specialist.

If you won't bring in this compatibility feature then I will have to uninstall Firefox completely and go back to Internet Explorer.

Install the following Add-on until Google releases a new version of their toolbar that is compatible with Firefox 5. Google needs to test their toolbar with Firefox 5 and change one line in their code to make it compatilbe. Most Add-ons that worked with Firefox 4 should still work with Firefox 5, but the developers need to update a line in their Add-on's code to indicate with which versions of Firefox the Add-on is compatible. The following Add-on adds a "Compatibility" button in your Add-ons > Extensions that you may need to click after installing it and restarting Firefox.
