Hi,

I need to install the extension webdav 1.0.5 on our closed network but I get "webDAV Launcher could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 6.0"

In order to verify that the root cause is the lack on an internet connection, I tried for following on a machine in our open network: re-installed the browser, disconnected the network cable, tried to install the xpi, got the same error message, re-connected the cable, tried to install - successfully.

so i guess that for some reason the fire fox tries to verify something over the internet. is there a way to disable this verification? am i missing something?

any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks, Elad

That extension has a maxVerion of 4.0.* and Firefox needs to contact the the addons update server to get new maxVersion information.

but then what is actually installed is still 1.0.5, so the MaxVersion is problematic only on the xpi itself?
