When I turn on my computer and go to firefox as my browser, it says to update firefox to the new version. I folowed links and pressed download new version, but I still get notices saying I need the new version. Today my gmail account said I need the new version and so I downloaded again. What must I do to be acknowledged as having the new version?

Help menu >> About Firefox

That look for updates, and tell u if there is a new version. Actual version is 6.0.2.

If u think that's something wrong with ur ff installation and wanna try a clean re-install, u could use MozBackup addon to backup all ur config and restore it later.

Thanks, I tried all your stuff to no avail. Finally went into my downloads and went through a bunch of steps in there and got it going. It wasn't that complicated the first time!
