Following my update to MF 9, I have had multiple crashes. This happens when I access my Gmail. Sometimes I can open an email and sometimes it crashes when I simply open Gmail. I have gone through the Troubleshooting guide " Firefox crashes" but this still occurs. It does not appear to crash whilst in Safe Mode. The last solution I attempted was to disable 4 add-ons. Google shortcuts 2.1.7.1, Java Quick Start 1.0, AVG Safe Search 12.0.0.1894 and AVG Security Toolbar 9.0.0.18.1. As per instructions, I disabled each of these add-ons and restarted Firefox to see if it crashed whilst in Googlemail. When I disabled the Google shortcut and the Java Quick Start add-on, the crashing stopped. However, a few hours later, with the same 2 disabled, the crashing has started again. Crash ID below is the latest one that is not still in a queue.

we have a lot of crashes with Trusteer Rapport. If you use this program, try to disable it and see if that stops the crashing. You can stop Rapport using Start Menu > Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop Rapport You can ask their helpdesk when an updated version of their product will be made available or, if you don't need this software, uninstall it. http://www.trusteer.com/support/en/report-problem

I have taken google.com off the list of Trusteer Rapport protected websites, but it has made no difference.

It is always Googlemail that crashes Firefox. When I thereafter "Quit Firefox", it always re-starts with Googlemail instead of my home page of Google.co.uk.

This crash is due to the Trusteer Rapport software. You can fix it by turning it off like Swarnava suggests above. Also from the bug report linked in your crash report, it seems there may be a new version of Trusteer Rapport available that might fix the issue.

I had already removed google.com from the protection of the Trusteer Rapport software but it made no difference. There is no update available for Trusteer Rapport. It is only when I am on gmail that the crashes occur, particularly when trying to change from one email to another quickly, or sliding the up/down bar.

I went back through the add-ons, and having disabled "AVG Safe Search 12.0.0.1894", have had no crashes whatsoever so far.
