How do I KEEP the Norton Toolbar Disabled?

I run FFox WITHOUT the Norton Tool bar enabled. I have Norton on my laptop, which I want, but I don't want the clutter of the tool bar on my browser. I disable it and all is fine until I get yet another Ffox upgrade which seems to default to turning it back on again. I searched through Norton and see nothing in there to indicate I have it set to turn back on within Norton. I can only conclude Ffox is telling it to turn back on by default and I cannot find where I turn that off. Thank you for any help you can provide!

Does Uninstalling add-ons help you any? You may just be able to fully uninstall it from Firefox.
