FF wont play certain video formats

I have FF "4.4.10" but when browsing some websites it will not play the video, instead displays messages: 'Plugins are req'd to display media on this page',

'FLASH OR HTML5 browser req for video playback' !!!! yet they play perfectly in Chrome no messing.

This happens on both a WinXP (FF v16) and a Win7 laptop.

A recent example video that wont play: http://www.fudzilla.com/home/item/29152-gopro-launches-its-hero3-cameras.

I read FLASH is highly discredited, so dont want to install it.

I thought FF was supposed to play HTLM5 videos 'out of the box' without need of 'Addons' ?

what do I need to do to play the above video ?

(I then want to save the video using the VideoDownloader addon installed)

Google Chrome comes with its own version of the Flash plugin.
Firefox needs its own Flash plugin, so make sure that the Flash plugin for Firefox is installed.

Do you have the Flash plugin installed and does the test site confirm that the plugin works?

You may need to run the Flash installer as Administrator (right-click: Run as -> Administrator).
