I used to have several files on the list in the DownThemAll mgr, but now it is blank, and when i add new files to dl, they are "starting," but never download

I've been using DownThemAll successfully for years now. There's usually a number of files listed in the DTA manager (I remove them from the list after i extract the zip files.) Weeks ago, I opened the manager and there were no files in the list. I queued up some files to download, and they appear on the list as "starting" but never download. I uninstalled and reinstalled DTA, several times, but it continues acting this way. Is there some setting or folder i need to clean up?

One of the extensions may not be working properly.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

If it does work in Firefox Safe-mode then disable all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

I restarted Firefox in safe mode, but I don't see how to enable DownThemAll. On the extension window the only choices for DTA are 'disable' and 'remove' Clicking disable and then enable doesn't seem to enable it. What am i missing?

i disabled all my addons, and removed and reinstalled downthemall, It's still acting wrong, as described above.

When i reinstalled it, it remembered that i turned on the DTA toolbar, so i wonder if there's something somewhere else hanging around i need to get rid of?

I'm also facing this problem sometime, not frequently. better uninstall the Downthemall Addon and reinstall it.

I've removed and uninstalled downthemall several times this week. It keeps acting incorrectly, as described above.

Any ideas?
