Reformatted & added Win 7 to #2 PC. I imported "my Favorites" from internet explorer by FF browser, bookmarks > Import & Backup.

The favorites from i.e. were mostly held in 20 folders with sub folders then the rest, loose individual sites.

The entire list - folders & loose sites now appear in the Private folder config: START > AaLF personal folder > Favorites. (This is good)

But in the firefox browser, I now see only half the folders from i.e. and also not the loose individual sites.

      • The entire list has appeared in > Personal folder > My Favorites (Win7)

Question: How do i get My Personal Folder Favorites into FF's Bookmarks for easy use??

If you have problems with importing the IE Favorites in Firefox then export the favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.

If you do not have the menu bar in IE then right-click the toolbar at the top to enable the Menu Bar.

  • Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html):
    File > Import and Export
  • Import the HTML file in Firefox:
Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import Bookmarks from HTML: From File

See "Import from another browser" and "Import from file":

I am using FF 17. FF will not import any favs. from chrome at all - none. The same now with i.e. - nil.

And the favs. contain about 1000 sites in folders. FF will only let me import via HTML one site at a time. i have re-installed FF twice. no change.

I am win7x64.

I've seen bookmarks from Google Chrome appearing in a folder (From Google Chrome) in the Bookmarks Toolbar folder, so you may have missed those.

It is always best to use the HTML approach in case of problems with importing data from another browser directly.
You can test such an HTML file by opening the file in a Firefox tab.
