Latest flash plug-in causing FF 19 to hang at exit. Uninstalled the plug in and reinstalled fresh from Adboe with same results.

Each time I close Firefox, I have to open the Task Manager and manually kill the process. I uninstalled the flash plug-in and the problem is solved, except now I cannot use YouTube etc etc. Without the Flash plug-in the browser works normally, with it, not so much.

I attempted the reset to no avail. I uninstalled and then reinstalled Firefox and the plug in and that fixed the issue.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

As I pointed out, without the plug-in I have no issue. Resetting Firefox is not going to change a compatibility problem between the plug-in and browser.
