Bookmarks Toolbar disappears with Norton Toolbar

Each time I restart my Firefox (v 22) the Bookmarks Toolbar is gone. I have to go into Options and checkmark it to turn it back on.

Also, Firefox always opens as a smaller window, even though I always maximize the window and shut it down that way.

These problems only occur when I have my Norton Toolbar enabled. If I disable the Norton Toolbar, Firefox will remember my preferences each time I shut down. It opens exactly as it should with Norton's Toolbar disabled. Unfortunately I use Norton's Identity Safe for all my passwords, and I like the protection it offers for virus warnings. So I'd like to continue using it.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
