Call me an idiot, but I can not find the changelog for Firefox 24 ESR. Plenty for the plain Firefox 24, but that is not what I need. I need the full changelog for 24 ESR, compared to the last release of ESR.

hello, as far as i'm aware there are no conclusive releasenotes for major ESR releases - you'll probably have to go through the notes from version 18 to 24 :-/

Thanks for the info. Not happy to hear that though, it seems really odd not to have such a thing for a major release. Unfortunately this is in line with information I received elsewhere, which basically claims that the ESR branch has only been created to appease the rapid release cycle opposition, and that Mozilla does not support the concept with heart and mind, but actually tries to keep this thing hidden as much as possible in order not to encourage it being used in favor of the regular version. :-(

Mozilla's Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) is for organizations . More information can be found at the ESR project page and the ESR FAQ page:

You may be able to get some answers from the Enterprise Working Group (EWG) mailing list, which is archived here. The September archive has some threads on 17esr and 24 esr, if you want to go through them.

P.S. This is from https://mail.mozilla.org/pipermail/enterprise/2013-September/003596.html [Mozilla Enterprise] Firefox 17.0.9esr and Firefox 24.0esr releases are live

The first Firefox 24.0esr is available for download from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all.html and will be in the update path for ESR17 releases in two more cycles (17.0.11esr->24.3esr).

So, Firefox 17esr is still being updated. If you're unsure if you want Firefox 24esr and you already have Firefox 17esr installed, you can update to Firefox 17.0.9esr using the Firefox updater ( go over to the "Help" menu and select "About Firefox"). You can also download Firefox 17.0.9esr for your operating system and language from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/17.0.9esr
